On September 23, we will be celebrating our 7 year anniversary!

Over 7 days, we're reflecting on 7 years of life-saving work with some of our incredible partners, success stories, the irreplaceable, growing RPM nation, and the difference we’ve all made together.

It seems like just yesterday we were back in 2013 when BARC’s Live Release Rate was 30-50% and the daily euthanasia list was filled with puppies, kittens, families, and young dogs and cats. That meant 50-80% of the animals didn’t make it out alive.

Knowing this as well as the fact that there were other places in across the United States like Colorado that had rescues with adopters literally lined up, wanting adoptable animals, well it was a no-brainer. There was no reason for these animals to die, and so we formed Rescued Pets Movement. We knew we had to change things here in Houston. We new we had to save their lives.

Fast forward to 2020. For the past 11 months with our help, BARC’s Live Release Rate has been consistently over 90%. That means all those animals that weren't making it out were finally getting the forever families they deserve.

To date, RPM has rescued and transported 58,193 dogs and cats (and a few pigs!) since we started 7 years ago.

We are so thankful for all the lives saved, for the amazing changes that are happening at our shelters, and for your support, #RPMnation. From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you for helping us save these lives and we hope you will continue to help us save even more.

Follow along on our social media pages and in emails to learn more about our operation and a bit about what it takes to save 58,193 lives.

With love and bright hope for the future,
