Our Most Reliable Van Is Gone. The Mission Can’t Pause.
One of our transport vans was totaled in a serious accident late last night.
The drivers are safe. No animals were on board. We are grateful for that.
But the van is a complete loss.
This wasn’t just any van. It was the best and most reliable vehicle in our five-van fleet. It made the trip from Houston to our northern rescue partners one to two times every single week, loaded with dogs and cats who had run out of time at the city shelter.
It never sat still for long. It was the workhorse of our program. And now it’s gone.
The van collided with a disabled, unlit vehicle that had been left in the middle of the road. The crash was unavoidable, and the damage beyond repair.
Replacing this van quickly is critical. Without it, our ability to keep up with weekly transports is at serious risk. We can’t afford delays, not when lives are on the line.
Please give what you can today to help us recover and get a new van on the road.
Your support keeps our mission moving forward. Literally. We are counting on our community to help us get back behind the wheel and continue the life-saving work this van made possible every single week.
Thank you for being part of this rescue effort.
