While Houston gears up for celebrations, hundreds of dogs at BARC, our city shelter, are sitting in noisy kennels, hoping they make it out alive.

This Independence Day, you can make that happen! We are launching our 4th of July Freedom Ride Campaign to sponsor as many dog rescues from BARC’s euthanasia list as we can.

For just $50, you can rescue a high-risk dog that is hours away from euthanasia. When you rescue a dog through this campaign, you aren't just buying them a few days. You are starting them on a path to a brand-new life. We are fully committed to getting every single pup we rescue fully vetted, healthy, and safely transported out of state to communities where there is a high demand for adoptable pets.
